70 Feet of Steel is a blog about the trials, tribulations, and travels of “BumbleBee” and her driver Jeff. I’m Jeff, and I’ve been driving since 2012, but I had a previous gig for quite a few years back in the 1980’s. I’ve traveled through all 48 states, and five provinces in Canada. I’ve driven solo, team, company, lease/purchase, LTL, rain, sleet, snow, and am now planning on retiring with Landstar as an Owner/Operator.
I’ve worked in many different industries leading up to and returning as a driver, and I believe that this is the position for me.
70 Feet Of Steel will bring you information specifically tailored to the trucking and logistics industry, although I may stray into other occupations or topics occasionally. My intention is to educate the “non driver” on what really happens out on the road, and all the good, bad, and ugly of the industry.
I have a sign in my window that I’ve carried since my return into the industry that says “Positive Spoken Here”, and my intention is to continue that tradition online as well.
I look forward to many posts, and many followers in my day to day travels……
Keep the shiny side up, the wind at your back, the bears in their coops, and I’ll catch you on the flip-side!
